A Very Happy Mother's Day

Last year on this day I remember going to church with a heavy heart. Jason and I had been trying to have a baby for about a year and I had a sinking feeling that it wasn't just that it was taking a while, but instead that maybe something wasn't quite right and preventing it from happening for us. I remember our priest during mass asking all the mothers to stand and be recognized and I felt the lump in my throat start to form. I spent most of that mass, as I did most of every mass that year and a half, asking God to please help us. Help us fulfill our dreams of having a baby.

So much has changed since last year. All day yesterday I thought about how blessed I am to be able to call myself a mommy to not only one little blessing but TWO!

Madeline and Mason you have come so far since you were born and I am so thankful you made my dream of being a mommy came true. I have learned so much in the past four months of "mommy hood". But the most important thing I've learned is that being a mom is the best thing in the world and the amount of love I have for the two of you is absolutely indescribable.
Look how far you've come!

I had a fabulous Mother's Day. Our family was all together at our house to grill out. The night before we were also together to celebrate my sister Erica's graduation with her Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Madeline and Mason sent me my favorite flowers  on Mother's Day.. Tulips!
Madeline and Mason with their cousin Kalli on Mother's Day. Kalli and Madeline looked so cute in their matching dresses!

My mom's gift for Mother's Day.....she loved it!

I love this picture of my mom and stepdad with all their grandkids. Cracks me up that Madeline and Mason are looking right at the camera!

I want to end this by wishing my Mom a great Mother's Day and say thank you. You have been so much help since the babies have been born, coming over several times a week to let me run errands or nap. I'm not sure we could have done this without you. Thank you mom! You're the best!

An oldie but a goodie! In all our Glamour Shot glory! ha!
Hope you all had a great Mother's Day!

  6. Thank you, I appreciate this. I would do anything and everything for you three girls and those precious grandbabies. It is awesome to have daughters like you three.. Its nice when you have a baby of your own that you as a daughter, realize their mothers were not crazy. But loving and protective..
